Stop . Breathe . Start Again
Assalamulaikum WBT...
And what's important is to track yourself, be conscious about your life. Thanks, Aiman Azlan.
I am taking my few minutes break from writing my thesis. I thought I want to write something about the importance to "Stop - Breathe - Start Again" from time to time. I have been procrastinating a lot before I am able to focus properly on my thesis writing. A lot of things happened and I feel like thousands of disruptions keep coming in my way. Well, that's what I thought. If I see the things that happened or things that come in your way as 'distruptions', it surely will disturb you, you will make it as an excuse to stop doing your work. The disruptions are not the problem here. The problem is myself, I am trying to use this bunch of disruptions as an excuse and procrastinate.
When I realize that, I stop, I breathe and I try to look at my whole situation again from a different angle, amazingly, I see something else! Life will always give you thousands of reasons to stop you and drag you away from your dream. But, in life too, there are so many things you should be grateful for. So count your blessings not your problems. Focus more on the bright side not the problem. So I thought it's OK if I have so many challenges coming in my way to my dreams, all of it will only make me stronger and make the dream more worth achieving and colourful. Sometimes, it's OK to stop, breathe, take one step back if necessary, and start again, stop, breathe, and start again, stop, breathe, and start again.
I believe as long as I am clear with my ultimate goal/dream, as long as I hold on to my principle and priority, I will be fine, someday I will achieve my goal/dream. What's more important is to keep on trying, and keep going. It's OK if you have tried hard but keep on making mistakes. Forgive yourself. We all make mistakes, but then we make things worse by beating ourselves up afterwards. Let go of the guilt. It's OK if your progress is slow and doesn't keep up to your expectations. Celebrate small progress, celebrate small wins. Give time to yourself to reflect and improve and start over again. We are not robot. We are far from perfect and we are bound to make mistake so that we can learn from it and grow stronger and wiser.
And what's important is to track yourself, be conscious about your life. Thanks, Aiman Azlan.
And, I will not become an enemy to myself. Instead, I will become her best friend. I will listen to her, keep supporting her and shower her with positive vibes.
Well done Yati... You have done well, keep it up, keep going and try everything. When you feel lost or overwhelmed, you know what to do. Know that I am always here for you and more importantly, remember, Allah is always there for you and He only and always wants and gives the best for you.
